As an organization whose efforts are rooted in creating a world where all people are valued based on their abilities, we stand with all those in our community who value unity in the fight against racism and injustice. The values upheld by the Americans with Disabilities Act include equal protection under the law, individual empowerment, freedom of association, and economic opportunity. These values are important to and for all Americans of all abilities, including people of color. Let us not miss the critical opportunities for growth and social progress that are in front of us today, and always, as we all work to learn, grow, and achieve our highest potential as a collective humankind.
