TURNSTONE SECURES GRANT FOR SPANISH TRANSLATION INITIATIVE, ENHANCING CLIENT SERVICES AND ACCESSIBILITY
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (January 15, 2024) –The St. Joseph Community Health Foundation recently awarded Turnstone with a $3,000 grant to translate client documents into Spanish. This funding makes critical services more accessible for clients who primarily speak Spanish.
“Having our forms available in Spanish allows us to break down further the barriers that our clients face when seeking needed services,” said Kathy Baer, Turnstone’s Social Services Director. “Thanks to this support from the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation, we can improve their experience by helping them gain an accurate understanding of their rights and responsibilities, our policies, and the expectations of the services they are receiving.”
Without this generous funding from the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation, clients facing language barriers would not have the proper support and access to comprehensive services. Having this support allows Turnstone to more efficiently accomplish its mission to empower people with disabilities through comprehensive service offerings.
