Turnstone Featured in Community Stories Campaign by Hylant

FORT WAYNE, IN (February 3, 2021) – Turnstone is proud to announce its inclusion in the local campaign Fort Wayne Stories, a new initiative launched by Hylant to highlight Fort Wayne non-profits and the positive impact they have on the lives of local residents.

Hylant interviewed Turnstone client Clif to emphasize the significance of Turnstone’s accessible fitness center in the community. After a car accident left Clif paralyzed from the neck down, he has been dedicated to working with Turnstone fitness specialists to build strength and work

towards his goal of walking again.

“We are grateful for partners like Hylant who are sharing Turnstone’s mission through stories like Clif’s,” said Turnstone CEO, Mike Mushett. “Clif’s story is a prime example of why Turnstone is a vital resource in our community, to give people with disabilities the support they need to achieve their goals.”

Turnstone empowers people with disabilities to achieve their highest potential by providing comprehensive services and programs including health & wellness, therapy, sports & recreation, an adult day center, and early childhood learning center.

Fort Wayne Stories, an affiliate of Community Stories by Hylant, shares the stories of individuals who have found support and guidance through Fort Wayne’s non-profits. From highlighting the services of those non-profits to showing the life-altering impact they have made, Fort Wayne Stories aims to support the organizations that make Fort Wayne a better place to live.

“Hylant’s commitment to community involvement has been a crucial part of our mission for 85 years,” said Clayton Jennings, Hylant-Fort Wayne’s office president. “This year, we are ready to take that a step further by partnering with these non-profits to promote their missions, bringing them the recognition they deserve from Fort Wayne’s citizens but which they may not have always received.”
