Turnstone Encourages Public to ‘Give Possibility’ This #GivingTuesday

Turnstone launched their annual #GivingTuesday fundraising campaign to support people with disabilities that they serve. The campaign focuses on gratitude for the clients, partners, and supporters, and the contributions they share with Turnstone year-round. The community is invited to celebrate #GivingTuesday on November 29 by making a donation, volunteering time or donating an item from their wishlist.

“Giving Tuesday has become one of the most successful days of giving during Turnstone’s annual fund drive. It’s a global day of giving where local donors and donors from across the country come together to create possibilities for people with disabilities,” says Rena Shown, Turnstone’s Chief Development Officer.

This year, Turnstone’s goal is to raise $20,000, which will support thousands of people with disabilities regardless of their ability to pay for services. Especially on #GivingTuesday and during the holiday season, Turnstone wants you to know that it’s because of its countless supporters in the Turnstone Family that they are able to “Give Possibility” to the clients they serve.

For the last four weeks leading up to #GivingTuesday, Turnstone shared four different stories on its website and social media channels from a variety of individuals such as volunteers, clients, and partners. The stories highlighted how each subject ‘Gives Possibility’ and makes Turnstone’s mission possible based on their involvement. On #GivingTuesday, Turnstone will feature three more stories of individuals who have helped ‘Give Possibility’ to thousands of people with disabilities. Stay tuned to read these stories as they are released online throughout the day.
