Turnstone Center Holds Call-Out Meetings for Athletes Interested in Joining Upcoming Sports Season

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (September 13, 2023)–Call-out meetings for Turnstone’s competitive adaptive sports teams are open to interested individuals for the 2023-2024 season. Anyone interested in competing during the upcoming season should attend one of the call-out meetings.

Adult Wheelchair Basketball (September 19, 5:30pm)—Turnstone

  • Junior Wheelchair Basketball (September 19, 5:30pm)—Turnstone
  • Sled Hockey (September 24, 12:30pm)—SportONE Parkview Ice House
  • Power Soccer (September 26, 5:30pm)—Turnstone
  • Wheelchair Rugby (October 17, 7pm)—Turnstone

These meetings are an opportunity to learn more about the opportunities within each sport. If you're interested in trying the sport please contact Kevin Hughes ([email protected]) to arrange to have the proper equipment lined up for your arrival.

Turnstone is recognized regionally and nationally for the caliber of its competitive sports teams’ abilities and accomplishments. In recent seasons, Turnstone's Premier Cup team (Flyers) finished fourth in the nation and Turnstone’s sled hockey team earned second at their last national competition. Turnstone is also a member of the United States Olympic family as one of nine United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee's designated Training Sites and home to USA Goalball through a partnership with the United States Association of Blind Athletes.
