RESULTS: Sled Hockey - Intermediate C Division
Our hockey team kicked off their season with a 2-1 record in Wooster, OH on November 13-14. The Turnstone Flyers defeated the Icebreakers (Cincinnati, OH) 3-1 and a 3-2 overtime win vs Sled Bears (Knoxville, TN). John Pfeiffer had the game-winning shootout goal while Elliot Mohre led the team with 3 goals and 1 assist. Their only loss was to tournament champions and host Wildcats (Wooster, OH). Turnstone was led by first-year goalie, Skylar Osborn, with 42 saves.
The Flyers will travel to South Bend, IN on November 27 as they take on the Thunder (Bloomington, IL) and Steel (Indianapolis, IN) in the annual Thanksgiving doubleheader. On December 3-5 Turnstone will travel to Chicago as they'll have a rematch with the Wildcats and will face-off vs the GLASA Falcons (Chicago, IL); Hornets (Chicago, IL), and Wild (Minneapolis, MN) for the first time this season.
