Power Soccer World Cup Bronze Finish

The Final World Cup matches were played on October 20. For the fourth straight World Cup, Team USA earned bronze as they defeated Argentina 2-1. This is the first time that the USA wasn't in the final. They won gold in the first two World Cups in 2007 & 2011 and then earned silver in the last one in 2017. Team USA is also the 2014 & 2019 Copa Americas Cup Winners.

Former Turnstone athlete, Alexis Heer, was one of Team USA's top players as she scored both goals in the final match. She contributed eight goals as Team USA went 8-2-1. Heer also played goalie in Match #8 as USA defeated Uruguay 2-0 to earn the shutout.

Team USA's only losses were to France 1-3 and England 1-2. USA also finished in a draw vs Argentina 1-1.

France defeated England 2-1 in an overtime shootout for Gold.
A Total of 10 Countries qualified for the World Cup.

Current Turnstone athlete, David Dowling was one spot away from making the team this year.
