Power Soccer Nationals Recap

Turnstone's Premier Cup team (Flyers) finished fourth in the nation while our Founders Cup team (Furious Flyers) finished 36 out of 61 teams at the 2023 MK Battery Conference Cup Series. The games were hosted at Turnstone.

Turnstone Flyers Recap: The Flyers kicked off nationals by sweeping all four opponents in pool play outscoring them 15-0

3rd Place Match: LOSS 0-1 vs Atlanta Sting. Zach Dicky Scored on a Penalty Kick

Turnstone Furious Flyers Recap:
The Furious Flyers were consistent in each match where they would dominate in one half; however, come up a little short in the other half. In their opening match vs the Atlanta Sting Academy Turnstone was up 2-0 going into halftime; however, Atlanta finished with a 5-2 victory. It was flipped-flopped in their match vs Minnesota United as Minnesota took the early 2-0 lead while Turnstone held them scoreless in the 2nd half. In Turnstone's final pool play match the DASA Firecrackers from St. Louis, MO took the lead and held on for a 0-3 victory.

Similar story in the Quarterfinals match as the Baystate Falcons had two early goals in the first half and an added goal in the first minute of the 2nd half; however, the Furious Flyers locked them down for the remaining match in a tight 0-3 loss.

In the consolation bracket Turnstone faced off versus state rivals, Hot Shots from Greenfield, IN. Turnstone is now 2-2 vs them this season as the Hot Shots won 4-0. Turnstone's final match was vs another state rival, RHI Inferno from the Indy area. The teams traded goals as Inferno was just a little better in a 2-3 victory.
