Hockey Takes Control In The Statewide Tournaments

Much like the Komets, Turnstone's sled hockey team has bounced back after a tough start to their season as they went 3-2 in their last two weekends of play to extend their overall season record to 3-5-1.

Turnstone then went 2-1 at the Heartland League games, hosted held for the first time in Indy, from December 16-18. This has been 14 years in the making as Turnstone has helped the Indy area with their first clinic in March 2008 and many more since then. The Flyers' starting goaltender, Noel Klein, picked up his first shutout of the season as Turnstone defeated the Cincinnati Icebreakers 5-0. The Milwaukee Admirals who are in their first season with this league had their own impressive goalie as Turnstone had plenty of quality chances that the Admiral denied. The Flyers snuck through with a 5-1 victory. Turnstone's only loss came from GLASA Falcons from Chicago 0-3.

The Flyers split games in South Bend, IN on Saturday, November 26 as they defeated Indy Steel 2-1 while coming up short 0-5 versus the Thunder from southern Illinois.

Next Tournament: January 7-8 (Taylor, MI)
