13th Annual Bob Chase Frostbite Sled Hockey Classic
Turnstone hosted the 13th Annual Bob Chase Frostbite Sled Hockey Classic on February 20 & 21. The Turnstone Flyers finished 2-2 with a 3-1 victory over Thunder from Towanda, IL and a 6-1 victory over the Steel from Indianapolis, IN.
This was the first tournament for the Steel from Indianapolis. Turnstone helped the program get started by running numerous clinics with the team leading up to this moment. Former Turnstone varsity basketball player, Marie Harman, is an athlete for the Indy Steel and has also been very involved with building this program.
The tournament included teams from 4 different states - OH, IL, MI, and IN. For Turnstone, Tanner Pfieffer scored his first game winning goal and Randy Mohre scored his first goal.
