2021 Turnstone Endeavor Games Registration Now Open

FORT WAYNE, IN (April 19, 2021) -- Registration is open for the 5th Annual Turnstone Endeavor Games, an event that invites athletes with physical disabilities to participate in various sporting events on a novice and competitive level. While the 2020 event was held virtually, this year’s event returns to Fort Wayne June 24th-26th, 2021.

This adaptive sporting event features 10 sports — archery, air rifle shooting, boccia, goalball, power soccer, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair tennis, track & field, and wheelchair basketball. In addition, clinics will be held to allow athletes to try something new or strengthen their skills.

Early registration for this year’s Turnstone Endeavor Games begins today, April 19th, and runs through May 7th. Priority registration allows athletes to sign up for the competition at just $15 with clinics included for free. In addition, the first 15 veterans to register will be fully funded with meals and room accommodations included thanks to a grant from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. The Turnstone Endeavor Games will open on Thursday, June 24th with a day of sports clinics and a welcome party in the evening for athletes, coaches, and families in the Plassman Athletic Center at Turnstone. Throughout the weekend, events will take place at Turnstone, The-X-Count, Indiana Tech Warrior Park, and the Carroll High School Natatorium.

The competition begins with sitting volleyball and wheelchair basketball at 4:30 p.m. on June 24th at the Plassman Athletic Center at Turnstone and continues through Saturday, June 26th, ending with archery at Indiana Tech’s Warrior Park, with an array of events in between.

The Turnstone Endeavor Games take place in conjunction with the University of Central Oklahoma which will take place June 10-13, 2021. Now in its 22nd year, the UCO Endeavor Games is the nation’s largest multi-sport, multi-disability event. Additionally, since its first year in 2000, the games have provided training clinics for aspiring athletes.

The Endeavor Games series is supported by national partners the University of Central Oklahoma, UCO Endeavor Games, Turnstone Center, U.S. Paralympics, Move United, and Hanger Clinic.

Volunteers are needed for a variety of positions. Each shift will last no more than four hours, and each volunteer will receive a T-shirt.
