USABA Goalball Nationals Return to Fort Wayne’s Turnstone Center in August

Colorado Springs, Colo. (February 1, 2024) – The U.S. Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) has announced the 2024 USABA Goalball National Championships are returning to the Turnstone Center in Fort Wayne, Ind., Aug. 2-4. Turnstone Center, a U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Site, is also the training base for the USA Goalball resident program and is supported by a community of goalball enthusiasts and volunteers who will once again bring a high level of excitement to this annual event.

“This year’s national championships mark the final major goalball event before the Paris Paralympic Games,” said USABA CEO Molly Quinn. “It will be a great time to bring the goalball community together again in Fort Wayne for some great competition and to send off our USA men’s team in style as they journey to Paris.”

Last year’s national champions were the New Jersey Honeybees in the women’s division, the Manticores in the men’s A division, and the Atlanta Wolves in the men’s B division. Individual awards will also be given out for the Tom Parrigin men’s most valuable player, the Sharon Gunderman women’s most valuable player, and the Cody Carmicle Spirit of the Game Award.
