The Butler Family Elite Athlete Scholarship Fund

As one of eleven Olympic & Paralympic Training Sites, Turnstone is committed to supporting the Paralympic Movement and providing programs and opportunities for our athletes to hone their skills and further their athletic goals.

Two-time Paralympic Wheelchair Rugby athlete, Jeff Butler, knows all too well how access to financial support to pursue athletics at the elite level can be challenging for most. With high equipment and travel cost, athletes must rely on their own finances to support the travel and training associated with becoming an elite-level athlete.

Thanks to a generous matching donation of $50,000, and with Jeff Butler as Chair, the Butler Family Elite Athlete Scholarship Fund aims to support these rising and elite Paralympic athletes training at Turnstone. This fund will help provide scholarships to athletes who are pursuing their Paralympic dreams.

You can support the elite athlete development scholarships and make a difference in an athlete's journey!

*to apply for this elite athlete scholarship, an individual must be 14 years of age or older, have a permanent physical disability, (i.e. spinal cord injury, amputation, visual impairment, traumatic brain injury, nerve/muscle damage that permanently impedes function), and train at Turnstone. Turnstone uses the International Paralympic Committee's eligibility criteria as a guideline. The athlete must also be a Citizen of the United States.

If you are an athlete who would like to submit an application for scholarship grant funds, please apply.

I can honestly say that I would not have had such a successful [cycling] career if it wasn't for Turnstone.
