Adult Therapy

Turnstone’s adult therapeutic services include physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Therapy is provided onsite and by appointment; therapy services can also be coordinated when the individual is scheduled for the adult day service program.

Physical and Occupational Therapists utilize a variety of modalities including aquatic therapy interventions in our warm water pool on site. Therapists also utilize the adaptive fitness center, which provides accessible equipment and amenities for people of all abilities.

Physical & Occupational Therapists

Physical and Occupational Therapists at Turnstone offer assessment and treatment services for a wide range of deficits and diagnoses, including but not limited to the following:

  • Orthopedic concerns/joint replacements
  • Upper and lower extremity dysfunction including strength and France of motion deficits
  • Gait abnormalities
  • Coordination concerns
  • Pain management
  • Genetic and chromosomal diagnosis
  • Neurologic diagnosis

Speech Therapists

Speech Therapists at Turnstone offer assessment and treatment services for the following deficits:

  • Swallowing/Dysphagia
  • Dysarthria
  • Speech and Language deficits
  • Cognitive deficits

Therapy services may be private pay or billed to private insurance or Medicaid. Turnstone is not a Medicare provider and cannot bill Medicare or other insurance if Medicare is the primary provider. A sliding-fee scale is available for those who qualify based on income.

Our Therapists

Turnstone’s therapists are experienced, client-focused, and dedicated to maximizing the independence of every client. Therapists determine the need for skilled treatment and the scope of therapy through an initial evaluation, which then allows the therapist to create an individualized treatment plan.

Tim McCullough PT, DPT, AIT
Lead Physical Therapist

Tim McCullough has been with Turnstone since June 2021. He works with adults and children and is also a certified Adaptive and Inclusive trainer. In his position as a Physical Therapist, he enjoys connecting with people and forming meaningful relationships with the clients he helps. His favorite memory at Turnstone so far was the Paralympic Celebrations.

Tim is a big Cincinnati Bearcats and Bengals fan. He also loves board games!

Occupational Therapist

Kelly Piepenbrink is an Occupational Therapist at Turnstone who works with adults and children. So far, Kelly’s favorite memory at Turnstone was watching Santa Clause visit the Kimbrough Early Learning Center (KELC) kids. “Their reactions were priceless.”

Helping clients become the best version of themselves that they can be is Kelly’s favorite part of her role at Turnstone. She strives to help them reach and surpass goals as much as possible.

Kelly’s favorite dessert is fruit pizza and has actually walked on the Great Wall of China!

Steve Epley has been with Turnstone since January 2023. In his position as a Physical Therapist, he enjoys getting to know each client and watching their progression through the physical therapy process. Steve discovered Turnstone when he saw the electric sign on Clinton as he waited for a food take-out order-- talk about good timing!

In his spare time, Steve loves cooking bread, trout fishing, and gardening. He loves the fall season as well as cats and dogs.

Nicole Chatterson, PT, DPT, has been with Turnstone since May 2023. As a pediatric physical therapist, Nicole loves having the opportunity to help kids become more independent in their mobility and achieve their goals-- big and small. She aspires to make a positive impact in her clients' everyday lives.

Outside of Turnstone, Nicole enjoys Purdue Football and Basketball, ice cream, and playing with her dog, Beau. One fun fact about Nicole is that she studied abroad in Australia for three weeks during her undergraduate career at Purdue.

“Turnstone has made a huge difference in my life,” said Annie, “When I started going to therapy, I learned how to do the developmental things I couldn’t do before, like have head and trunk control, sit, roll."
