Our Service Offerings
Turnstone’s services are unduplicated in the region and meet a vital community need for children and adults with disabilities. Programs include therapeutic intervention, early education, case management, adult day services, health and wellness programming, sports and recreation opportunities, and more.
Turnstone’s programs and services are available on a sliding fee scale. Of the thousands of individuals and families who benefit from Turnstone’s programs and services each year, the vast majority receive them at a reduced rate based on financial need. This is made possible thanks to generous funding support from local donors, corporate partners, foundations, and other philanthropic funders who join us in the important work of enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities.
Turnstone’s pediatric therapy services include physical, occupational, speech, and aquatic therapy.
Turnstone’s Social Skills Summer Group will be led by a select group of Turnstone’s own Speech and Occupational Therapists. The small group will focus on developing healthy social and communication skills among peers. 8-week sessions will include daily activities will utilize the Every Day Speech Curriculum. Your child will also experience community outings to further build skills.
Turnstone’s award-winning Therapy team is now offering Infant Massage classes that teach parents and caregivers how to properly calm and nurture their babies through touch.
The Kimbrough Early Learning Center (KELC) at Turnstone is a full-day inclusive childcare program that considers the unique physical, developmental, and social needs of children of all abilities.
Turnstone’s Adult Day Services (ADS) program is designed to maximize the independence of each program participant and encourages socialization among clients.
Turnstone’s therapists are experienced, client-focused, and dedicated to maximizing the independence of every client. Therapists determine the need for skilled treatment and the scope of therapy through an initial evaluation, which then allows the therapist to create an individualized treatment plan.
Turnstone’s Memory Care program provides a safe, home-like environment with memory-boosting activities that maximize functional performance in areas such as cognition, health, mood, and behavior.
Our social service team is available to help set up services, navigate needs and make referrals to community resources.
Counseling services are available to anyone in need and can be offered in person or virtually. Our counselors are trained to deal with a wide variety of concerns and utilize a variety of treatment options to provide the support needed.
Donated, gently-used durable medical equipment is available for loan at no cost. Donations of equipment are accepted at all entrances during business hours
Turnstone hosts a variety of groups with common interests that meet together for collective learning and social support.
Turnstone’s Fitness & Aquatic Center is the only exercise facility in northeast Indiana designed to include people with physical disabilities. The facility includes fully accessible fitness equipment, exercise programs, a 230-meter indoor track, and a warm-water therapeutic pool.
This adaptive group exercise class is for people with Parkinson's Disease. It utilizes training based on professional boxing programs.
Turnstone offers adaptive sports programs for youth, ages 5 and up, adults, and veterans who have physical or visual, intellectual, or developmental disabilities. Join us for recreational, competitive, and elite-level fitness and sports programs, clinics, camps, and tournaments.
