Jeff Hoffman: It Couldn’t Be Done Without… Community Partners

November 8th, 2021

It couldn't be done without Community Partners. Jeff HoffmanCommunity Partners have always served as important pillars, bolstering Turnstone’s operations to serve the needs of people with disabilities in our community.

Jeff Hoffman has recently become a proud community partner with Turnstone. The relationship began when Jeff’s Chick-fil-A franchises on Jefferson Pointe and Coliseum Boulevard started providing products for Turnstone to sell through concessions during sporting events and tournaments at the Plassman Athletic Center Fieldhouse. This partnership started a lasting relationship as Jeff and his team learned more about Turnstone and its services.

“When I tell people about Turnstone, I often talk about the amazing facility first and that usually leads to more awareness for the programs and services too,” said Jeff. In being a cheerleader for Turnstone, Jeff is able to further express his passion for people and make a difference in the lives of others.

Jeff has always been motivated to be in the business of putting people first. “That’s why my wife and I chose to be a part of Chick-fil-A and that’s why we chose to give back to Turnstone. It’s a first-class facility with first-class people,” said Jeff.

Most recently, Chick-fil-A on Coliseum Boulevard provided funding that allowed Turnstone to establish the newest Rock Steady Boxing program. In this group exercise program designed to empower individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, participants benefit from non-contact boxing training that focuses on building strength, power, flexibility, and confidence. And, though the physical benefits of the program have been proven to delay symptoms, many people feel that the group aspect of Rock Steady Boxing is also valuable for people who are seeking social support.

Rock Steady Boxing is a popular program across the country, but Turnstone’s new program is one of only two active chapters in Fort Wayne. This opportunity to support people with Parkinson’s Disease was important to Jeff because his family has been affected by Parkinson's Disease and the cause remains close to his heart. Jeff was determined to bring this program to Turnstone so that more individuals with Parkinson’s in our community could benefit from the program—and Turnstone became the perfect partner to make this possibility a reality.

We couldn’t do it without Chick-fil-A and Jeff’s deep-rooted value of strengthening people and relationships.
