Equipment Loans
Turnstone lends gently used adaptive equipment and other items at no charge on a first come, first served basis to individuals with disabilities. This service is intended to be a temporary loan; however, the agency understands that some items have a long-term need. When no longer in use, the equipment is to be returned to Turnstone for lending to another individual. It is important to note that Turnstone will not deliver equipment or pick up equipment donations. Please allow 24 to 48 hour advance notice before picking up equipment.
Equipment available includes:
- wheelchairs
- commodes
- bath benches
- crutches
- canes
- walkers
- grab bars
To request a piece of equipment or to donate gently used equipment, please contact us at (260) 483-2100.
Residential Ramp Building
Each year, Turnstone works with community volunteers to build residential ramps for persons with disabilities living in Allen County, Indiana. Recipients of ramps are asked to pay a portion of the cost of the ramp. This program is largely supported by grants and private contributions.
Please note that due to the demand and need for this service, the waiting list to receive a ramp ranges from 6 to 12 weeks. For more information on how to receive a residential ramp, please contact us at (260) 483.2100.
