The Fort Wayne Bandits are a nationally ranked wheelchair basketball team that calls Turnstone its home. The Bandits, formed in 1989, are the first and only adult National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) sanctioned team in northeast Indiana.The Bandit's 11 players have various physical disabilities and their ages range from 18 to over 52.

To this end, the Bandits provide the experienced, as well as the novice player:

• A strong base in the fundamentals of basketball
• The camaraderie of being a part of a team
• An opportunity to become physically fit
• An avenue to experience the challenge of competition

Goal: To promote the growth and integrity wheelchair basketball in northeast Indiana while building a competitive team that is nationally ranked.
